According to industry data released on Monday, China’s logistics sector experienced accelerated growth in June, driven by improved market demand and business operations.
The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing reported that the index measuring the performance of the country’s logistics market reached 51.7 percent last month, representing a 0.2 percentage point increase compared to May. A reading above 50 indicates expansion, while a reading below indicates contraction.
In June, most sub-indexes demonstrated positive movement. The sub-index for new orders recorded 50.4 percent, reflecting a 0.7 percentage point rise from the previous month. This suggests an increase in demand for logistics services. Furthermore, the sub-index for employees rose by 2.3 percentage points to 51.2 percent, indicating a growing need for labor in the sector.
The federation stated that the sub-index for business expectations remained stable at a high level of 55 percent in June. This indicates that confidence in the logistics market remained strong.
