China’s cold-chain logistics sector has maintained a consistent expansion in the initial eight months of the year, bolstered by robust policy backing.
From January to August, the total value of cold-chain logistics activities reached 3.7 trillion yuan (equivalent to approximately 515.33 billion U.S. dollars), representing a 3.95 percent increase compared to the previous year, according to data from the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP).
Cui Zhongfu, Deputy Head of the CFLP, noted that the nation’s cold-chain logistics sector is operating efficiently, with supportive policies consistently yielding positive outcomes.
During the January to August period this year, more than 28 national-level policies pertaining to cold-chain logistics were introduced, with the involvement of various government departments, including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, and the Ministry of Transport.
