In a bid to bolster the growth of its real economy, the Chinese government has recently unveiled a nationwide initiative aimed at enhancing legal services.
Under this initiative, local authorities will collaborate with lawyers’ associations to establish a comprehensive platform that bridges the gap between the legal profession and enterprises. The platform will offer a wide range of legal services to industries, particularly those related to information technology. This joint effort is outlined in an action plan jointly issued by the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Scheduled to run from July 2023 to December 2024, the campaign is primarily designed to assist enterprises in navigating legal risks and resolving any legal issues they may encounter. Its overarching objective is to safeguard their lawful rights and interests while simultaneously enhancing their operational and managerial capabilities.
By providing a robust legal framework, this campaign serves as a critical safeguard for China’s ongoing endeavor to cultivate a new development paradigm centered on its domestic economy. Furthermore, it aims to foster a positive interplay between domestic and international economic flows, solidifying the country’s position in the global market.
