The 23rd edition of the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) commenced on Friday in Xiamen, located in the eastern province of Fujian, China. This four-day event aims to stimulate investment and contribute to the worldwide economic recovery.
Under the theme “Open and Integrated: Key to High-Quality Development,” CIFIT began with a grand opening ceremony and will encompass a diverse array of activities, including forums, seminars, exhibitions, and business matchmaking sessions. The event will also witness the release of several research reports on investment trends.
Spanning approximately 120,000 square meters, CIFIT places significant emphasis on key sectors such as the digital economy, intelligent manufacturing, green and sustainable development, as well as rural revitalization.
Participation in this event is truly global, with over 1,000 organizations and enterprises from around the world taking part in the exhibitions. Notably, this year’s CIFIT has seen a notable increase in both the quantity and caliber of participants compared to its previous iterations. Distinguished international organizations, including the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, have a prominent presence at the fair.
The guest countries of honor at CIFIT 2023 are Brazil, Serbia, and Qatar. Since its inception in 1997, CIFIT has evolved into a vital platform for fostering bilateral investments and facilitating global development initiatives.
